Jesus knows us! He knows the state of our hearts and the state of the world around us. There is nothing going on in my life today, or in my hearts and minds, that he didn’t forsee and teach on. This knowledge should bring me comfort and strength, but also challenge me to go beyond my comfort zones and shake off the shackles of my pet sins.
Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved – Matthew 24:12-13
Love is growing cold all around us. But the important question is this ‘Is my love growing cold?’. It’s too easy to look at the faults of others and ignore the issues in my own heart. Jesus encourages us to endure, in His love, until the end
So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples – John 13:34-35
Let us love like Jesus loves, in truth, self sacrificially, by the power of the Holy Spirit, not allowing our sin to dull our hearts
