Praying Together

Matthew 18:18-20 “I tell you the truth, whatever you forbid on earth will be forbidden in heaven, and whatever you permit on earth will be permitted in heaven. 19 “I also tell you this: If two of you agree here on earth concerning anything you ask, my Father in heaven will do it for you. 20 For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them.”

A recurring theme for us at Cornerstone lately has been the call to pray together & a reminder of the blessing that it is to see God move in answering these prayers. Corporate prayer requires a certain level of vulnerability & humility, it isn’t always easy to open up and share what you’re going through. But the fruit of being obedient to God in this area is that we get to share each others burdens, lift one another up and recieve the mutual blessing of seeing God answer. Prayer meetings are typically one of the lowest attended events at any church, which is tragic when we consider the fact that God is inviting us to converse with Him. Our lives and our world are so badly in need of prayer. May we see the value and share the joy of praying together with fellow believers.

1 Thessalonians 5:11 – So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing.
