I am noticing an alarming trend, that the world post-lockdown is looking increasingly polarised, self-centred and unjust. Perhaps three months of isolation was all it took for humanity to forget how to be sociable. As we begin to move towards some new sort of normalcy, what kind of world will it be? One where we seek to gratify our selfishness at the expense of others? I am reminded afresh of The LORD’s words from Micah 6:8
He has shown you, O man, what is good;
And what does the LORD require of you
But to do justly,
To love mercy,
And to walk humbly with your God?
May we remain humble, walk with God, think of others more highly than ourselves and perpetually seek God for His justice and mercy upon our broken world. Amen
